Lunch Buffet at Flame and Grill: South City Mall

What we thought it's like:

Indian food at its best is perhaps served here. The all-you-can-eat-buffet is priced at Rs 595/-, exclusive of taxes and it serves a wide array of Indian fare. As soon as we were seated, a grill was placed in front of us and 10 different types of kebabs were placed on it for grilling! The kebabs included mutton sheekh kebab, chicken reshmi kebab, prawn kebab, paneed kebab, bekti kebab, hariyali dum aloo kebab and some whose names we forgotten! No sooner had the grill been emptied, when the waiters came to reload it!

The main course consisted of yellow rice pulao, raita, chutney paneer, sabzi, aloo chat, dal, salad, aloo dum, made the Bengali way, and naan for vegetarians. For non vegetarians, the fare was equally mouth watering. There was Mutton Biriyani, Keema Mutter, Dahi machhli, Lamb and Chicken Salad and Chicken South Indian Style. The food was sumptuous and didn't look like the Indian fare served in other restaurants, with the same yellowish curry in which different fishes and meats are floating. The food was fresh and great to taste.
Veg Stuff at the Buffet

The service is very good, with the maitre d' willing to help you at every point through your meal. In fact, once they learnt we were celebrating a birthday, they even brought us a complimentary cake!
The deserts served were of a wide variety. There was langcha, a very famous Bengali sweet, with a sewai kheer, 4 types of ice cream with chocolate sauce, bread pudding and cake.
You just can't help but be stuffed to your gills!
The only sad bit might be that only one glass of complimentary beverage is served. The rest you will have to buy. But the food makes up for it in manifold ways!
